Our Process

We begin by learning about your needs and preferences – because a custom home isn’t custom unless we truly understand you, your hobbies, style, and needs! In this initial stage, we will ask you about your work life, home life, activities, daily routines, and more. We love going over what styles speak to you and what features are a ‘must’. Consider some of the below questions:
- Do you know your favorite home ‘style’? Do you have photos of styles you like?
- How important is cooking, or time in the kitchen to you and your family? Do you cook together? Eat together?
- What are your hobbies or the hobbies of those in your family? Board games or music, swimming or watching movies?
- How many bathrooms will be used for getting ready in the mornings? Does your family prefer to take quick showers or long baths?
- How important is outdoor space for you and your family? Do you enjoy eating, relaxing, or playing outside?
- Do you want spare rooms? What will these rooms be used for – an office, a workout room, a guest room, or something else?
- How much storage or closet space will your family need?
- Will you be working from home? Will your children be utilizing online learning?
- How many entrances do you need?
- Do you have multiple vehicles? Do you collect vehicles or have additional garage needs?
- What is your ideal home size and home price?

Now that we are all on the same page, true design can begin as we will put together concept options and go over them with you until we find the perfect custom home design for you. We love meeting with you, brainstorming, reviewing, and revising every aspect of your custom home to ensure it is perfect for you and your family’s needs. And our designs don’t just include the interior of the home, but the exterior and land too.
After your floor plan, design concept, and any additional notes are nailed down, we’ll make sure the budget is within your range so there are no surprises after-the-fact either! This is what we believe true communication should look like, and only then will we draft and sign the contract.
